Hi I need 2 favours - it will take less than 5 minutes. Tuesday morning MPP Sam Oosterhoff needs to find his email inbox full of requests asking him to help Dr. Pelser. I am making this easy for you. Just copy his email address, subject and the letter below to your email and send it off. His email address: sam.oosterhoffco@pc.ola.org
Subject: URGENT!!!
My family doctor, Dr Pelser, has been forced to close his office due to an administrative error in renewing his medical licence and I am requesting that you look into this matter and push for his licence to be reinstated this month.
The CPSO has decided that he must reapply as a new doctor and wait for their next meeting in December to have the application reviewed. He is not a new doctor [he has a new private practice] and as such he has many clients [seniors, families, children] who depend on him and require his ongoing services.
Dr. Pelser actually cares for his clients' well-being and in my opinion is an excellent doctor. The Town of Pelham as well as the Niagara Region still have a doctor shortage. We cannot afford to lose or worse yet, chase away any doctor let alone our Dr Pelser, a doctor who places his clients' care at the forefront of his business.
Please check into this matter and help Dr Pelser have his licence reinstated this month.

Tuesday morning The College of Physicians and Surgeons need to find their email inbox full of letters requesting Dr Pelser's licence be reinstated immediately. Let them know we are mad as hell and not going to take it anymore (can't remember the movie that is from but I love that line :). Just copy the email address, subject and the letter below to your email and send it off. email feedback@cpso.on.ca
Subject: Dr. Duane Pelser medical licence
We request that you reconsider forcing Dr. D. Pelser of Fonthill, Ontario to re-apply for his medical licence as a new Doctor and expecting him as well as his patients to wait until December for a decision.
First and most important, HE IS NOT A NEW DOCTOR. He left a group practice to open a private practice in order to care for his patients in a manner unavailable to him in a group practice. As such he has numerous patients - children, young adults, middle age and seniors - that are now stranded due to this administrative oversight and CPSO’s decision.
He is an excellent doctor, not only caring mentally and physically for his patients, but caring for minor details such as no parking fees. Many of his patients followed him from the original Fonthill practice on Pancake Lane, to the McMaster Clinic located in Welland, and finally back to his new Fonthill office. The CPSO's decision is punishing all his patients.
This area is already short of doctors. By denying Dr. Pelser the ability to care for his patients you are making us dependent on over flowing walk–in clinics where the doctor’s only care about quantity.
The Town of Pelham and the Niagara Region cannot afford to lose Dr. Pelser. Finding a doctor who actually cares about his patients, taking the time needed for each appointment without rushing, not only listening to vaguely worded symptoms but going the extra mile for a diagnosis, giving a number where he can be reached after hours, etc. is a once in a lifetime find.
We beg you to please reconsider your decision. Please reverse your decision and reinstate Dr. Pelser's licence immediately. Dr. Pelser and his patients do not deserve this type of punishment for an administrative error.
