Many students including myself feel that this year’s AP exams are a very poor representation of what we have learned this year as they were just one or two questions. With that, the College Board is only accepting rescores for people who scored a 1 or 2 on their exam. However, I believe that teachers should be able to request a rescore for students who scored a 3 on their exam. At the University that I will be attending in the fall, they do not accept a 3 for the AP Biology exam, along with many other exams. This is especially important to me because I had an A in the class both semesters while taking AP Bio with a very difficult teacher. In addition, I studied relentlessly just on what was going to be tested on the AP exam for two months leading up to exam day just for all of my hard work to be worth nothing and there is nothing I can do since I got a 3, which doesn’t get me credit nor does it waive any classes. A score of 3 is not the equivalent to passing at a lot of colleges and institutions for numerous exams. Please Please consider allowing teachers to request that exams receiving a score of 3 to be rescored! Thank you.
