I have recently signed a campaign on Change.org in regards to the Coles minis being promoted again at Coles.

We are close to 60,000 signatures but I am unsure if Coles are really going to listen to this. In the big scheme of things, this many signatures may not sway Coles as their argument is that people love collecting things and all of it can be Redcycled in their stores. (this was in a recent email I received from them)
My concern is that Coles (and Woolworths for that matter) are going to keep doing this regardless of what a small portion of the population think.
So that is why I am emailing you to see if you can help with this issue.
Is there any way these plastic promotions can be banned?
Can we run wider educational programs on mainstream TV and radio so people see what happens to these ‘collectables’ once they are finished with them?
Can we speak to Coles and discuss better options for the community so they can still have their promotions but will actually help people instead?
