Why this petition matters

Started by Joe A.

Recently Georgia passed a voter I.D. law that will ensure only legal citizens and those old enough to vote will be the ones voting in their elections.

Soon after, 200 corporations and sports teams spoke out against it, in some cases calling it racist.

This petition seeks to demand that these companies lead by example. If minorities cannot figure out how to obtain I.D., then they cannot open accounts with these businesses, cannot fly, buy tobacco, drink, cannot attend events and cannot apply for work at these places.

In an effort to ensure equality of opportunity, we MUST demand that these companies remove the requirements for I.D. to apply to work, and also to apply for services with these 200 companies! Clearly these companies are employing racist tactics to prevent minorities from using their services by doing so.

Thank you for taking the time to sign my petition.
