Support the demands of TransLink workers going on strike

Support the demands of TransLink workers going on strike
The Issue
Transit workers are the lifeblood of the Greater Vancouver Area. Without them, many of us would have no way to get to work, school, the doctor's, the grocery store... As Metro Vancouver prepares for a potential transit strike, it's important to remember that bus drivers, Seabus workers, and TransLink maintenance staff have been without a contract since March 31. Their demands are simple: they want safer working conditions, fair breaks between routes, competitive wages, and for TransLink to hire more staff as its operations expand.
Workers are doing everything in their power to avoid rider hardship. For example, they are implementing their strike in phases to avoid a complete transit shutdown. We can help them in return by asking the Coast Mountain Bus Company to listen to these workers' demands for safe and fair working conditions.
