Stop discrimination against NCR Vehicles
The Issue
Scrapping of 10 year diesel and 15 year petrol vehicles without fitness check is cruel and unfair treatment of NCR citizens. Instead of focusing on fitness of vehicles or on instituonal probity of pollution check, the NCR policy fails to differentiate between different ground conditions, e.g..number of kms done by a car, commercial vs regular vehicles, maintenance, condition of body and engine etc.
Our vast information technology and AI capability with outreach has been ignored at cost of citizens.
The cost of vehicle ownership in NCR has been doubled by undesirable activism of the government without effort to appeal in the SC. The retrospective effect of judgement should have pushed govt.(s) into appeal. When most parts in NCR outside Delhi don't have easy fast reach to metro, applying the policy differently in NCR compared to rest of India is travesty of justice with NCR residents.
The matter must be appealed in Supreme Court with detailed logic. The Central Motor Vehicle act should be uniformly applied in NCR as in rest of India even if with more stringent Institutional norms. Delay in appeal in SC would hurt large number of families in NCR.
