We, the displaced residents of Pacific Palisades Bowl Mobile Home Park, lost our homes in the January 7, 2025 wildfire. Many of us are seniors, on fixed incomes, and we were the affordable housing for our community. We are still waiting for debris removal, facing the risk that the park will not be rebuilt, and could be permanently displaced.
I have just learned that Tahitian Terrace residents are facing the exact same threat — their community also risks losing its mobile home designation and the right to rebuild. This is not an isolated situation.
SB 749 can protect both of our communities — and others like ours — but only if lawmakers see the strength of public support. Every signature matters.
