As we all know the CoronaVirus (Covid-19) is spreading rapidly, most schools around the country are taking precautionary actions for their students and staff such as closing down schools to assure Staff And Student safety. Recently there has been a few confirmed cases of the virus in New Hampshire.
Students in the Portsmouth School District are asking you to sign this petition to close down all schools in Portsmouth to prevent us and our families from receiving the virus. Most recently as of March 12 a person who is infected by the Covid-19 is actively being treated at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Portsmouth School District is supposed to provide students and staff with a SAFE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT. The people who sign this petition feel like they are better off in their own homes taking care of themselves and their families. However just because the school closes doesn’t mean we cannot be educated, the students should be provided with a packet or a form of online schooling until given the all clear to return.
