I am a student of Loudoun County, VA, USA and like many others, have been personally affected by the severe winter weather. I recently got injured due to the slippery conditions caused by this weather. It's not just me; numerous students across our county have experienced similar incidents due to the hazardous conditions.

The safety of our children should be paramount. With temperatures dropping below freezing and snowfall increasing, it is becoming increasingly dangerous for students to commute to school. According to data from the National Weather Service, Loudoun County has been experiencing one of its harshest winters in recent years.

We believe that closing schools for the rest of this week would be a proactive step towards ensuring student safety during these challenging times. We urge the school board and local authorities in Loudoun County to consider this petition seriously and prioritize student safety over everything else.
