Kelvin Park Early Years Centre is a flagship early years centre and nursery based at Kelvingrove Park. It has only been open for a few years but has been very successful, the lengthy waiting list is testimony to its great reputation and testimony to the need for this centre in this part of Glasgow.

Glasgow City Council's Executive Committee will vote this Thurs whether to keep this vital community resource open or close it dow to to create more space for Hillhead Primary School. Whilst there is definitely a need for the school to expand, it seems shortsighted to lose the other key player in this learning community and also unfair the Early Years centre should shut down when there are still many other options to expand the school still to be explored. Glasgow City Council are instead proposing to create the school additional flexible space iin what was the school's car park.
