Dear neighbours,

Thank you for signing this petition to oppose more burning of regional trash in our airshed.

Your efforts paid off and Clarington Council voted unanimously to oppose Durham Regions proposal to build a full recycling plant with anaerobic digesters which will dramatically increase the burning of waste at the current, over-burdened incinerator. The same incinerator that this community opposed years ago.

Unfortunately Mayor Foster of Clarington and Mayor Carter of Oshawa do NOT get it!

Both support the additional garbage burn that will result when a new recycling plant is built.

We need your help again.

Please, will you:

1. Call your Mayor and remind him that this is an election issue.

3. Call ONE neighbour and encourage them to do the same.
