Claremont Graduate University: RESCIND Komrosky's PhD
The Issue
Dear Members of Temecula and I.E Communities,
Demand Claremont Graduate University investigate on rescinding Joseph Komrosky's PhD based on his questionable thesis.
- REPORT JOSEPH KOMROSKY'S PHD THESIS FOR BEING QUESTIONABLY UNSCIENTIFIC AND NOT ACADEMICALLY RIGOROUS.
- You may reach out to Claremont Graduate University, the local media, or a law firm specializing in scientific integrity and corporate law.
I am writing to bring attention to serious concerns surrounding Joseph Komrosky's PhD thesis titled "The Corporate Character of Eudaimonist Virtue Ethics Cautioning the Invisible Environment of Harmful EMFs Resulting from 5G Technology."
As residents of Temecula and the greater Inland Empire community, it is important for us to critically examine the credibility and integrity of academic work, especially from individuals seeking public office.
This infamously recalled Board President plans on running again.

Identified Issues:
- Lack of Scientific Rigor:
- References to Pseudoscientific Sources: The thesis relies heavily on non-peer-reviewed sources, such as the "International EMF Scientist Appeal" (pg. 1), which is not recognized by major scientific bodies.
- Unsubstantiated Claims: It makes claims like "EMFs might cause harm to various members of the animal kingdom, such as bees—killing them and also harm to humans—sperm reduction in men, breast cancer in women, and brain cancer in men and women" (pg. 1) without robust empirical support.
- Logical Fallacies:
- Correlation vs. Causation: The thesis conflates correlation with causation, undermining its credibility by stating that "proliferation of studies provide a relationship between EMFs emitted by 4G and 5G technology and harm" (pg. 4) without distinguishing between correlation and causation.
- Analogous Reasoning Flaws: The analogy that "corporations are considered legal persons and act as if they are persons" (pg. 3) to argue that they can have good or bad character is a stretch and not grounded in sound ethical theory.
- Misrepresentation of Ethical Theories:
- Misunderstanding of Utilitarianism and Deontology: The thesis misrepresents these ethical theories by criticizing them for not addressing the character of corporate entities, which both can incorporate without personifying corporations.
- Conceptual Errors:
- Misapplication of Virtue Ethics: Extending Aristotelian virtue ethics to corporations (pg. 3) is problematic since virtue ethics focuses on individual moral development, not corporate behavior. The thesis fails to justify this extension adequately.
- Overreliance on Anecdotal Evidence:
- Anecdotal and Speculative Claims: It relies on anecdotal evidence and speculative claims, such as suggesting "anecdotal evidence to suggest that it (the technology) might be harmful to humans and the environment" (pg. 6), which do not constitute rigorous scientific proof.
