IMPORTANT UPDATE

This is going to a vote on 2nd March  The only way to influence is to contact your local councillors (crs@yarracity.vic.gov.au) and let them know how you feel. Everyone has to do this. The councillors are just ignoring us but the emails go on the record and create a trail that cannot be denied.
Until now, they pretend that we don't exist and we just go away. Despite nearly 1900 people on the petition. Every single person affected by this needs to contact council.

City of Yarra has recently changed recycling collections to fortnightly. This has led to many residents having insufficient capacity and overflowing recycling bins which is leading to recycling ending up in the general waste bins.

This petition is to lobby the City of Yarra and its councillors to return to weekly collections for all residents.

Update: There has been the suggestion that council may try to return weekly collections on the basis of a bin tax being introduced. We DO NOT support any additional fees on residents.

A number of residents from the Yarra Residents Collective (www.facebook.com/groups/yarraresidents/) have grouped together to begin this petition.

This is not against the separated glass bins which residents support.
