Strathcona Stands for Safe Homes for All
Aug 20, 2020
Former mayoral candidate Patrick Condon suggests Vancouver follow Seattle’s positive example by building low-cost tiny villages on several sites as safe refuges for unhoused people.
Done with proper consultation and a sustainable community governance model, this could meet our campaign’s first demand:
— A permanent end to displacement of Camp K-T by way of final relocation to sanctioned and safe refuges away from public park space where at least 300 unhoused local residents can find community, rest and the essential public services and utilities that they need and deserve.
