Atlantic Place Garage HOTEL Development – Give proper Public Consultation Now!

0 have signed. Let’s get to 7,500!

The Atlantic Place Parking Garage HOTEL project has now had approvals on all but the final stage, which will be for the air rights over Baird’s Cove. Both votes to date were a narrow 6-5 margin.

The main stages of  public consultation, City-commissioned Report and approvals have happened around Snowmageddon and now the Covid 19 Pandemic Lockdown.

We ask the City to rescind the votes for approvals of a 12th floor and the overall structural design, on the basis of insufficient public engagement.

And to do a proper public consultation.

The Hotel would be higher than Atlantic Place. Many public and private views of the harbour will be blocked. This design is not compatible with our heritage area. The height and shape of the proposed hotel is out of scale with most of the adjacent buildings.

This project brings up many important issues that we need time to discuss, as a Community!

And if your favourite view would be blocked by this building, please post it with the hashtag #atlanticplacehotelblocksviews
