As a long-time Hart resident, I have always felt relatively safe. With a strong sense of community, we look out for our neighbours as well as our local gems of business that reside here. However, an increasingly concerning problem is currently sitting right here amongst our family neighborhoods. The Old Frankfurt Motel (it has since been renamed but has and is always referred to it as the Frankfurt) now houses mostly individuals who chose to commit crimes on a daily basis. Theft being the main offense it seems. Cars broken into, all types of items from yards, sheds, etc being taken. When items go missing, often the first word of advice is to check the Frankfurt. Not only this, we see open drug use, overdosing, drunkenness, at all times of the day. We feel uneasy now. About our children. Our belongings. Our overall safety. How bad does it have to get before things change? We want our Hart back! Let's band together get this nuisance property shut down once and for all!! Please sign!
