A Meeting with Mayor Charlie Hales and Chief Michael Marshman at City Hall

Since our petition was released #DontShootPDX has had the production of a video granted to support us from Portland Independent Media in the platform of a Public Service Announcement Video : https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1344207258932192&id=324734890879439 On September 23rd we presented our SRO vs Families narrative, stand point, Macarthur (http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2016/02/blacks_overrepresented_in_ever.html) audit and the purpose of this SRO removal petition, to stakeholders, community organizations, and government policing partners. The information was made available to a public audience during a Community Peace Collaborative session at NE Portland Police Bureau NE Precinct. Now we are asking supporters to help us make it to 500 signatures!! On September 27 community members will have the opportunity to meet with our Mayor and Chief of Police in lieu of a new collective bargaining contract our members are meeting to discuss public safety and police accountability this includes the health issues related to community reintroduction of trauma. We will share our petition as a DEMAND to our leaders that these discussions are necessary and are focused community concerns.... Thanks again for your support and PLEASE SHARE!!!
