Thankyou for continuing to comment and share our petition here and on the Semaphore Waterslide Facebook Page. It really is helping to get the word around about what the Port Adelaide Enfield Council Administration is trying to do with your Semaphore Waterslide.

Last time is said I was having a meeting with the CEO of the PAE Council  to try and get any sense out of what they were planning to do about the BULLDOZING of the Semaphore iconic Waterslide and as expected I was only faced with basic sealed lip service and a offer to pack my bags and leave my business or they will be forced to waste more of your ratepayers money on Lawyers to close the Semaphore Waterslide Complex Business and have no amusement park at all.

My response was - Its NOT HAPPENING CEO. Listen to the Public.

So basically just another bullying attempt by the Admin. toward small businesses when it is completely unnecessary. Its been hard enough dealing with Covid closures let alone having to deal with your own Council causing havoc to your business. I said, if you don't want to REPAIR the Publics waterslide ( which it definitely could be and should have been done by now because it is Winter time), then REPLACE it with a new one of similar size , for everyone to enjoy like the current slide. Other Adelaide Councils don't seem to have a problem building beautiful waterslide facilities for their ratepayers and public. Don't forget that both the Federal and State Governments are throwing MILLIONS OF DOLLARS this year for Councils to upgrade their own assets. Its not coming from the local ratepayers. The only information I am receiving is NOTHING. If we let them bulldoze the waterslide, then you will most likely never see one again at beautiful Semaphore Foreshore.

DONT VOTE TO BULLDOZE A ICON WITHOUT A PLAN COUNCIL!

If you do have a plan , then TELL US IMMEDIATELY, then you wont have to send my business BROKE and upset the PUBLIC by doing and saying nothing at all. IT IS NOT FAIR!!  SUMMER TIME IS COMING FAST AND WE ALL DONT WANT TO COOK IN THE SUN WITHOUT OUR WATERSLIDE OPERATING.

Anyway, You all are up to date now and know as much as me, so hopefully one day very soon we will have a answer from Council about the future of the Semaphore Waterslide and once again the many tourists, families, schools, OSHC and children can all be happy again on Semaphore Foreshore.
