We the boaters/members/clients of Peterborough Marina are requesting that the Peterborough Marina located at 92 George Street North in Peterborough Ontario remain open until Monday, October 12, 2020 (Thanksgiving Weekend) as it has in previous years.

As very loyal members of Peterborough Marina, who return year after year, not only for our own boating enjoyment, but to support this beautiful city, shops and restaurants, we need our marina to remain open to continue to support the Peterborough Downtown businesses.  In a year of many uncertainties, we the boaters took a chance and continued to support the marina, city, and local businesses by returning.  This marina acts as a second home to many, and would be a devestating loss to us all if it were to close early.

We as a collective whole  will be finding alternative arrangements outside of Peterborough's city limits should the marina choose to close early.  This would take money from the local businesses as well as from the city, in lost docking fees and services, not only from loyal boaters, but transients as well.

As a majority of us are local residents and supporters of our city, taking money out of our community would be a shame.   It is our request and plea that the marina remain open for the normal duration, providing services to your loyal boaters and to the transients from out of town, and keeping our money right here in the beautiful city of Peterborough.
