Hi All, The City of Novato has posted the results of their survey regarding the solar carport. The results are to be expected from a survey that was clearly biased towards leaving the structure in place and omitted any of the con arguments that came out of hours of community engagement meetings. Those arguments included that solar carports attracts vandalism and adding screening trees will provide cover for those activities. In the solar consultant's own report, it called for security measures for the site. The bottom line is that this issue has ZERO to do with solar and everything to do with Government Transparency. I found no mention of South Hamilton Park in the hundreds of pages of city documents that were supposed to serve as public notice. We had no opportunity to object because we were not given that opportunity. Please email the Novato City Council and express your disappointment in this biased survey.
