SUED! NEGLIGENCE LAWSUIT FILED - CHELSEA GARDENS! (see facebook post for lawsuit images) Lawsuit brought by Save Mohegan Park Supporter claims MANY VIOLATIONS in the implementation and procession of Chelsea Gardens project. Violations such as: •Working BEYOND the permitted area allowed by Norwich. •Creating a public nuisance. •Destruction of WETLANDS (but Brandon Hyde is on Wetlands board so I am sure everything is fine) •Violation of permit by ignoring costly environmental controls mandated by the permit itself. •Improper secondary destruction of land that should not be effected by permitted work. •Working without a permit for discharge of materials into ecosystem. These are just a few of the violations claimed against Chelsea Gardens in the New Law Suit brought by Supporter. This work was performed by a Citizen of Norwich. Work that should have been done by our elected officials who are paid to make sure situations like this do not happen. Now Norwich is left with a scar and land that was illegally harvested for the benefit of who? Friends of elected officials who should be representing US? Not the interests of the cocktail party pals who run Garden Supply Companies and Land Scaping Businesses. Negligence in elected positions have consequences, we ask that all members representing elected authority (CITY COUNCIL, CITY MAYOR) demand Chelsea Gardens IMMEDIATELY REPLANT ALL THE TREES HARVESTED and restore OUR FOREST to its previous condition before they are allowed to waste what insignificant funds they have left, on their summer sales meeting or luncheon expense accounts. This negligence puts the City in a serious position, failure to act against these FLAGRANT VIOLATIONS which ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS ALLOWED TO TAKE PLACE may result in dire financial jeopardy to a town with funding shortfalls and educational budget cuts. Please contact an elected official today and let them know that the City is to DEMAND CHELSEA GARDENS IMMEDIATELY RESTORE OUR FOREST which was illegally taken from us and DESTROYED: (Remember these people knew of the improper taking and implementation of the project since day 1, their negligence has cost the city greatly.
