This petition is being filed in support of Mr Byron Sanchez. Mr Sanchez, originally from the country of Ecuador, is a baker who is seeking to open a family-owned bakery business in Norwalk, CT. (River Street, between Burnell Blvd and Wall Street).

Esta petición se presenta en apoyo del Sr. Byron Sánchez. El Sr. Sánchez, originario del país de Ecuador, es un panadero que busca abrir un negocio de panadería familiar en Norwalk, CT. (River Street, entre Burnell Blvd y Wall Street).

Mr Sanchez has invested nearly one hundred thousand dollars, virtually his entire life savings, into renting a commercial space to build his business, and he is finally ready to open. 

Sánchez ha invertido casi cien mil dólares, prácticamente todos los ahorros de su vida, en alquilar un espacio comercial para construir su negocio, y finalmente está listo para abrir.

However, the unfortunate situation is this: he is unable to open because of a conflict between the Redevelopment Agency of Norwalk, CT, the City of Norwalk, and the owner of the property, Jason Milligan, who rented the space to Mr Sanchez. This conflict is preventing him from getting a Certificate of Occupancy.

Sin embargo, la situación desafortunada es la siguiente: no puede abrir debido a un conflicto entre la Agencia de Reurbanización de Norwalk, CT, la Ciudad de Norwalk y el dueño de la propiedad, Jason Milligan, quien le alquiló el espacio al Sr. Sánchez. Este conflicto le impide obtener un certificado de ocupación.

This conflict has nothing to do with Mr Sanchez, who has filed all of the necessary paperwork, permit applications, and followed all the rules. 

Este conflicto no tiene nada que ver con el Sr. Sánchez, quien presentó todos los trámites necesarios, solicitó permisos y siguió todas las reglas.

Without taking anyone’s side in this conflict, but the baker’s side - this is our position:  In an area of Norwalk that has been struggling for many years, with more empty storefronts than thriving retail stores, here is a good, honest, hard working, family man, willing to invest in our local community, to give our area a much needed shot in the arm. 

Sin ponernos del lado de nadie en este conflicto, sino del lado del panadero, esta es nuestra posición: en un área de Norwalk que ha estado luchando durante muchos años, con más escaparates vacíos que tiendas minoristas prósperas, aquí hay un buen, honesto, trabajador, hombre de familia, dispuesto a invertir en nuestra comunidad local, para darle a nuestra área una inyección muy necesaria en el brazo.

As an immigrant to our country, Mr Sanchez chose Wall Street as the area to follow his American Dream, only to find himself a victim of politics and bureaucracy. The fact is that ff Mr Sanchez is unable to open, he will be out of business before his dream even has a chance to begin. How tragic this would be for his family! 

Como inmigrante a nuestro país, Sánchez eligió Wall Street como el área para seguir su Sueño Americano, solo para ser víctima de la política y la burocracia. El hecho es que si el Sr. Sánchez no puede abrir pronto, se quedará sin negocio antes de que su sueño tenga la oportunidad de comenzar. ¡Qué trágico sería esto para su familia!

Mr Sanchez needs his business to open, and we need his business to open as well. It will be great for the city of Norwalk, a source of pride for the Ecuadorian and Hispanic community, and a boost for the Wall Street neighborhood! 

El Sr. Sánchez necesita que se abra su negocio y nosotros necesitamos que su negocio también se abra. ¡Será genial para la ciudad de Norwalk, un motivo de orgullo para la comunidad ecuatoriana e hispana y un impulso para el vecindario de Wall Street!

We urgently ask in this petition for ALL SIDES in this conflict to come together for an open, sensible dialogue that may lead to a fair, equitable and just outcome for Byron Sanchez.

Pedimos urgentemente en esta petición que TODOS LOS LADOS en este conflicto se unan para un diálogo abierto y sensato que pueda conducir a un resultado justo, equitativo y justo para Byron Sánchez.

Allow this gentleman baker to have the grand opening that he deserves.

Permita que este caballero panadero tenga la gran inauguración que se merece.
