Harry’s Café has been serving the Naperville commuters for 41 years at the 5th Avenue Train Station.
We were notified by email that the City of Naperville will not be renewing our permit to serve the commuters at the 5th avenue train station due to changes in the vending ordinances. After 2 months of trying to renew our permit with little to no response this email arrived barely 3 days before it goes in front of the Council for a vote on Oct. 1st. They are proposing to put us somewhere down 4th street greatly restricting our operation and possibly posing a safety issue.
As a vender in this same spot, we have had multiple mentions of our service in both the Naperville Sun Newspaper, Naperville Magazine, Fox News "Labor Day Small Business Weekend", Joanie Lum (Fox New 32). Mayor Pradel presented us with a “Proclamation” from the City of Naperville proclaiming November 20, 2013 as Harry’s Café 35th Business Anniversary. And for many, many years multiple city council members (past and present) have bought coffee for the commuters during their campaign.

We are looking for the City of Naperville to renew our permit as it stands for a period of 5 years to continue our service to the commuters of Naperville.  We would appreciate your support in signing this petition - Thank You
