Federation Square is home to a wide range of culture and arts events in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. The K-Dance Community enjoys using this open and public space and has been actively involved in not-for-profit performances that enrich the diversity and artistic expression of the square. At all times the community remains respectful to the public and relevant officials but recently, it has been determined that we require permits to use the space, similar to the process that buskers must undertake in order to perform. However, we do not collect or accept money and only do this for our own, as well as the general public's enjoyment. Dancing has not proved problematic, so why has the City of Melbourne taken such drastic action that slams the performing arts? Help save the K-Dance cover community by signing this petition.
