Judge Levine recently released a murderer on a $5k signature bond. The murderer beat a stage 4 cancer patient to death in front of Menards with his bare hands. His bail was originally 100k, but Levine dropped it to 5k. This is an ongoing issue with this judge, and even LaX PD is getting fed up with his leniency. For instance, on 9/21/18, a career criminal was facing 2 4-year sentences, but instead received a stay and just got probation. He was caught with heroin, crack, loaded guns, thousands in cash, and had set up security cams to protect the operation. He had a long history of drug charges and bail-jumping.
