Opposed to overdevelopment in The Woodlands ref: replat proposal #2020-1310 Houston

The Issue

Residents of The Woodlands purchased homes in the area knowing what would be developed in and around their homes. The replat request #2020-1310; Woodlands Village of Grogans Mill Lake Woodlands East Shore Sec 16 requested by The Woodlands Development Company alters the expectations established when our residents were sold property in East Shore. Changing from 19 Estate lots to 58 higher density lots is a significant change that our resident vehemently oppose.

The small Island as planned would generate 40-50 vehicles and as redesigned that would increase car counts to 100-145. The local residential neighborhood was not designed for this level of traffic.

There are also American Bald Eagles residing on the small island as this is one of the last parcels of land suitable for them to nest. The increased density would certainly remove more trees and vegetation the eagles require to survive.

We are requesting you deny the Replat requested.
