Say no to Cannabis Store in Residential community.

We the residents of Maple Lane, Perth Park, Nakoma herby solicit the City of Hamilton to take immediate action to stop the order to have a Cannabis store in our residential community.

We strongly object to the plan to change  11 Hatton Drive  to a cannabis store .

There are young families living beside this location.

This is a community of young families and with many school aged children. There is bus stops right at the door steps of this property for school children.

We see many school age children walking home from the bus stops directly behind the proposed cannabis store. 

A school is within 1 mile of this location.

This is definitely not a good idea placing such a store in this neighbourhood in sight and access of these young people. We most strongly object on this basis.

The street and neighbourhood is not commercial except this one adress, all others are residential.

Traffic is already a issue with 3 street at the intersection making it difficult to drive and manoeuvre. When a variety store was in this location many times cars would back into the street and create situations.  

The place for a cannabis store is in a mall or business park, not in a family neighbourhood!
