If you live in (have lived in or travelled through) the Greater Sudbury area, you are well aware of the decrepid shape of our roads and local highways.

I recently returned from a road trip to eastern Ontario via Highway 17. The roads travelled were in fantastic shape, well maintained and absent of any potholes and obvious deterioration than I can recall.  Then, I returned to Sudbury.

Once you hit Wanup the road conditions go downhill quickly. And then comes Coniston, where you better drive carefully because that stretch of Highway 17 to the bypass is so pockmarked that it may as well be a gravel road.  It’s absolutely embarrassing.  Whatever “they” are using for asphalt needs to be revisited and improved dramatically!
