Hello Fontana Residents and beyond,

Rick Minniefield was an exceptional person that served the community of Fontana. Unfortunately, Rick passed away on April 19, 2021. He left behind a wonderful wife and 3 children. He guided youth sports to a new level. He was the President of Fontana Community Little League and President of Fontana Pop Warner. He excelled when it came to teaching and guiding our youth through sportsmanship. Not only was he the President of these leagues but a community advocate and professional speaker. He gave back to the youth in every way possible. Not only does his family deserve to have these fields named after him, but the community does as well. His legacy deserves to live on for decades. It’s only right for us to give back to him what he gave to us for so many years, dedication. Please take the time to sign this petition and share it with all your family and friends. Anyone who has crossed paths with this gentleman know what a huge impact he had on youth sports and his community. Ralph M Lewis not only has this complex named after him, but another Park in the adjacent city of Rancho Cucamonga. I believe that we can afford to pay homage to Ralph M Lewis by keeping the other one in place in the city of Rancho Cucamonga.
