ALL EASTVALE SCHOOLS OFFICIALLY REOPENED on Tuesday, August 10th.  Along with all the excitement of finally being back in school after over 12 months of distance learning, came the chaos and frustration of traffic.  Within 30 minutes of the morning drop-off all sorts of dangerous situations were encountered; including an accident on Sumner Avenue.

The gridlock and frustration were witnessed at most schools throughout the city and is an every day occurrence parents say.  However, from the feedback we have received from both parents and residents of school neighborhoods, the 3 schools along SCHOLAR WAY by far create the most chaos and oftentimes dangerous conditions.   STRATHAM HOMES the developer associated with the Sumner Place Apartments Project did a traffic study (during Distance Learning) and presented it to City Staff as well as CORONA-NORCO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT stating that traffic conditions along Sumner, Orange, Schleisman, and Scholar Way were "NOT A CONCERN."  Maybe they're not concerned about the safety of our children, BUT WE ARE!!  There is a major TRAFFIC SAFETY CONCERN in our area, and adding over 300 housing units on one of the most narrow streets will NOT help.
