Cruelty free solution to the cougar problem!

Cruelty free solution to the cougar problem!
The Issue
There has been a rise of cougar attacks or stalkings of our beloved kids and pets.
We need more lighting in the area! Research done by the Candian Wildlife Federation shows that motion activated lights are likely to frighten and scare away a cougar, so a good solution to keep our family safe is to install motion detector lights around dim and less populated areas.
Yesterday, on March 10, a shitzhu maltese cross was attacked by a cougar and had to be put down. This wasn't the first time a situation like this happened, early February another attacked occurred on a three year old havanese named Lucy. Luckily she survived the encounter, but only after undergoing brain surgery. Only about a week later a three month old pug was killed in its backyard. Back in September of 2020 a cougar was spotted near the Crunch and even swiped at a dog who had to get stitches. On February 17th, about a month ago, a 14 year old kid was stalked by yet another cougar. This needs to stop.
I am aware that we have been invading cougar territory for years now, but we also need to keep our families safe. Motion sensor activated lights are a good and cruelty free solution.
Note, more lighting will also help make this community safer in general, as it can prevent car accidents at night, and keep us safe from dangerous people and animals.
