Do not change current zoning at NEC McQueen & Ocotillo Roads

The Issue

The 12.4 acres at the NEC of McQueen & Ocotillo Roads is zoned for neighborhood commercial use.  Changing this land to high density housing is not conducive to this area, negatively impacting home values and unwanted foot traffic through the private greenbelt areas,walking paths, play structures and basketball courts within Geneva Estates. The green belts and paths are the most direct route between SanTan Elementary & SanTan Jr. High schools and the land in question. Homeowners in this area purchased their homes under the belief that this land would be used for neighborhood commercial use and not for high density housing. Persons who have signed this petition are against changing the current zoning. Thank you.
