Justice for Lahori Bbq Hut and Indian Bistro food trucks on 80th Ave NE

Justice for Lahori Bbq Hut and Indian Bistro food trucks on 80th Ave NE

The Issue

On the evening of Saturday, May 30th. The Falconridge MLA Devinder Toor came along with some of his local mob and threatened us to move the Lahori Bbq Hut food truck from our location. He also threatened the Lahori Bbq Hut and the Indian Bistro food truck that his party is in power and he will make legislations and laws for these trucks to be removed. He also blamed both of the food trucks for littering, making noise, and many other things. Instead of appreciating the fact that we are providing food to the local community in this hard period of time his behaviour was extremely threatening, and harassing. Since then his local supporters have started parking their cars where the food trucks are supposed to park their trucks, on 80th avenue, this has resulted in us having a very hard time trying to operate our business. He has also said that on this upcoming Friday, June 5th at 7pm, he will come back again to the food truck location with his the mob of people and make sure that our trucks are removed permanently. He also threatened that he will talk to Mayor Naheed Nenshi and the Police Chief due to the heavy traffic volume.

By signing this petition, I hereby agree that these food trucks should stay where they are, and be able to operate their businesses in peace.
