Hello All, Thank you for your support of saving the view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the Campanile/Campanile Way. This email will address three talking points. 1. My Video For Campanile Way, 2. I would love to stand before the Mayor as a lowly student and say my petition has 4,000 signatures. This can happen if you can share it on Facebook today. 1. I had 41 students, faculty, and alumni show up on Monday. A HUGE thank you to all of you. This video will show the unique thousands of people who signed this petition. Information: TONIGHT, May 5, the Berkeley City Council is holding a special meeting and public hearing on "significant community benefits" from proposed high rise buildings in Downtown Berkeley. 2180 Milvia Street, 7:00 PM. The Council needs to keep hearing that people care about this issue. THIS THURSDAY, May 7. The Berkeley Landmarks Preservation Commission will be discussing the proposed 2211 Harold Way development, the tower that would block part of the Campanile Way views. There is not a public hearing, but you can speak for up to three minutes during "public comment" at the beginning of the meeting.
