Several friends notified us last night that they received a desperate, dishonest text message from a New York cell phone number tonight that is lying about our public camping ban ordinance.

The Texas Working Families Party is a socialist group. Homes not Handcuffs is a radical group. They repeatedly harassed our petition collectors all through 2020. They believe that homeless individuals, who need drug and alcohol treatment and mental health treatment, should be allowed to do whatever they want, whenever they want, wherever they want with zero consequences for anything they do.

In case you did not know, our Save Austin Now PAC is nonpartisan.

We were co-founded by local Democratic activist Cleo Petricek and me (local Republican Matt Mackowiak). Our board includes Austin Police Association president Ken Casaday, SafeHorns president Joell McNew and local eye doctor Emily Simonek.
