HOMELESS CAMPING ORDINANCE UPDATE
As you know, our entirely volunteer-run, nonpartisan Save Austin Now nonprofit recently launched a second effort to put reinstatement of the camping ban on the ballot in Austin.
We are on a path to hitting our goal!
Just three and a half weeks in and we have already collected 10,000+ signed petitions!
We have just 14 days left to collect 30,000+ petitions to reinstate the camping ban. To be certified by the city, we must submit by Jan. 12.
Reminder: Only Austin residents who are registered voters can sign. Anyone who signed during our last effort MUST SIGN AGAIN.
IF YOU HAVE NOT SIGNED YET: TWO WAYS YOU CAN SIGN

TWO WAYS TO HELP: VOLUNTEERS & DONATIONS
> Would you please sign up for a volunteer shift to collect signatures here (https://form.jotform.com/200565023717146)? We really need your help.
In order for us to be successful, we need to mail another 100,000+ households a copy of the petition THIS WEEK. This will cost $50,000. We need your help today.
> Please consider donating to our efforts now.
We have already mailed 80,000 households a copy of the petition and texted more than 300,000 Austin residents. This should quickly produce at least 12,000 more signed petitions. It's a good start, but we need more financial support to mail more households and follow up on the text messages.
There are two ways to give:
> You can securely donate here -- https://secure.anedot.com/matt-mackowiak-save-austin-now/donate
> You can make a check to "Save Austin Now" and mail it to 807 Brazos St., Ste. 408, Austin, TX 78701.
TWO OTHER WAYS TO HELP
> Does your business want some petitions on hand to collect signatures? Email Matt (matt@saveaustinnow.com) and tell us where you are located and when we can come bring them by.
> We need HOA contacts to see if they will email out information about the petition. Please email Matt (matt@saveaustinnow.com) if you have contact info for HOA presidents.
We are going to win this fight for our city!
Thank you!
