As our first week comes to an end, we can tell you that we are off to a great start!

Our first organized petition signature operation will be this Tuesday.

We have 24 volunteers signed up so far and the number is growing.

We have a chance to collect 25% of all the signatures that we need on Tuesday alone, but we need your help.

There are two specific ways to help:

1. If you can spare just a two hour shift on Tuesday at the polls, please fill out this form.

2. If you can't, would you contribute right now, so we can hire college students and others to work the polls?

As you know, our ordinance petition is now available for signatures from Austin residents and we are well ahead of the pace we need to qualify for the November ballot.

Our ordinance does THREE important things:
  1) Reinstates the ban on public camping citywide.
  2) Restores the sit/lie ordinance downtown and extends it to the UT campus and surrounding student housing area.
  3) Bans panhandling at night citywide from 7pm-7am.

We need to collect 20,000 signatures by mid-July to qualify for the November ballot.
