First things first, thank you all so much for helping me reach over 60 signatures. This is a great milestone in showing how there's plenty of people who don't want to see yet another data center development in Albuquerque.

Secondly, I am adding all of the Albuquerque city councilors and Bernalillo County commissioners as decision makers. Here's a brief synopsis of why:

  1. Any data center development in Albuquerque and Bernalillo County will negatively impact all of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County. That includes the rural communities and pueblos surrounding Albuquerque.
  2. There's been some recent impersonating of elected officials for the sake of trying to boost support for existing data center developments and proposals. The most recent example being someone impersonating City Councilor Tammy Fiebelkorn in a comment supporting Project Jupiter. Particularly on a New Mexico Environment Department public comment board. Fiebelkorn has clearly stated that she does NOT support Project Jupiter. This is a significant escalation that shouldn't be undermined and we need to open an avenue for all of our elected officials to make their record clear regarding AI and data center developments.

I'm hoping this move will put the issue of data center developments on the radar of the elected officials who can actually do something about it. And moreover, I hope this will make placing a moratorium on data center developments a top priority for them.

In the meantime, please keep sharing. The more people who sign, the more likely we are to stop potential data center developments not just in the Heights but throughout all of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County.

Thank you all again!
