I'm the grand-daughter of the victim of the hit and run incident that took place on October 13, off of Iowa and Marsalis in South Dallas. I am reaching out in regards to implementing safety precautions such as signs and parking medians so incidents can be prevented in the future. Its unfortunate that a tragic event had to occur for change to be discussed, but this is not the first time something has happened in the area due to speeding or wreck-less driving.
If the same precautions were put into place in low-income communities such as they are in upper-class communities, then less accidents would occur and less lives would be taken. It's disappointing that it had to happen to my grandfather, but enough is enough.
