One of the most important elections for Bear Creek and St Pete residents, at large, is tomorrow, Nov 2nd.

Check your polling location here.

You have the opportunity to vote for City Council Representative (and Mayor) that will work with Bear Creek Neighborhood to mitigate the impacts of the Blue Sky development on surrounding neighbors and whom support thoughtful and well planned growth and engaging with St Pete residents (again).  Enough with being railroaded!!  The Site Plan for 635 64th St S has yet to be reviewed by City Council and it may be up to the City Council of 2022!!

We spoke to 4 candidates who all agreed that the Blue Sky proposal amongst other developments have been inappropriately handled.

In light of this, please give the below candidates extra consideration this election!

Please note:  The review disregards any party affiliation and is specifically focused on smart and healthy growth of St Pete with engagement of Saint Pete residents.

These candidates are:

Bobbie Shay Lee for District 1

Tom Mullins for District 4

Mhariel Summers for District 6

Jeff Danner for District 8

There has been no conversation with Ken Welch (for Mayor).  But Robert Blackmon (mayoral candidate) voted, without hesitation, to impose the 300-400% density increase in the Bear Creek single family neighborhood, even after his very own constituents whom expressed their concerns over many hours during the City Council hearing regarding FLUM-58.

Let's hope for the best and improved representation in the coming years!
