Unlike previous Presidents-Elect, whose homes have been relatively easy to protect, Trump Tower sits at one of the most highly congested commercial crossroads in the world. The security being put in place is an enormous burden on the residents of New York City, in tax money spent, disruption to local businesses and cultural institutions, and physical dangers posed to our citizenry. We call on Mr. Trump and his family to move to a location that will not put these hardships on their fellow citizens. This is a time that calls for compassion and sacrifice of all citizens, and we ask the Trump family to lead the way.
