Avni (a tigress) has been claimed as a 'man-eater' by the Government of Maharashtra but there is no conclusive evidence whether she has killed even a single human. Instead of tranquilizing, the Government has ordered shoot at sight and has hired a private hunter for the same. Avni is survived by her 2 cubs and is just 4-5 year old.
