Open access to ALL species population data submitted to CITES

The Issue

Data on ALL SPECIES populations, though collected and submitted by range nations, is held exclusively by the CITES secretariat and United Nations bodies (IUCN) who analyze and generate reports to inform CITES and member parties.

The data and the sources of the data belong to humanity, not to organizations stocked with hunters and hunter sympathizers.

Transparency in data acquisition and decisions made is essential in order to combat the current situation where endangered species are left off endangered species lists.

Legitimization of conservation bodies requires absolute transparency.  Purge hunters and hunter sympathizers from conservation.
