Save St John and St James the Baptist Tottenham parishioners from being displaced.

Save St John and St James the Baptist Tottenham parishioners from being displaced.
The Issue
Our Church is a place of haven and hope for the vulnerable adults, pensioners and youths who we are trying to prevent from joining criminal activities in an increasingly challenging and dangerous society.
The Church of England ( CoE ) has decided to demolish the church hall used for outreach work, and build blocks of flats at the site, and also submerge the Grade 2 listed church building against the decision of the Parochial Church Council ( PCC). They have also refused to phase out the project and intending to close the church for the duration of this construction works ( 18 months).
The vulnerable elderly and pensioners will have no where locally to enjoy their weekly activities. The children will be displaced for a considerable period of time. The parishioners will be displaced of their place of worship.
Please support and help save our pensioners, vulnerable children and adults. Please help us to help our children have a place to attend weekly for their home work club Sunday School, Youth and other activities. Please help us continue to support the homeless people who turn up on the doors of our church for support and guidance especially during winter pressures.
The members and PCC were not properly engaged and consulted before decision was made.
There have been established misrepresentation of facts and conflict of interest activities to get a resolution to start the project.
There has not been transparency and accountability to the PCC members who act as trustees and custodians of the assets of the parish.
All efforts requesting for independent and un biased inquiry has failed.
We say no to displacing our members.
We say no to building on both sides of the church to avoid future conflicts of tenants and congregation.
