Many dog trainers are without education. You do not even need a high school education to be a dog trainer or behaviorist. This means that someone with no knowledge of how to properly train and handle your dog and how your dog's brain functions could be your dog trainer. CAABs (certified and applied animal behaviorists) are not just any dog trainer and will know how to treat and train your pet but some cannot afford this. Those who cannot afford a CAAB could end up hiring someone who will treat your dog inhumanly and could hurt your dog or other animals. It is important that dogs are trained through positive reinforcement not pain, fear and, anger or by someone who has no education or knowledge of your beloved pet. When a dog is trained in a way where they are hurt or reprimanded for not listening can make them aggressive (or more aggressive) and possibly need to be put down. Make the change and help your pet and others.
