In BC, the current disability wage is $12,396 annually, for someone who can barely support themselves, this is not enough. The BC government has attempted to increase this wage by $50, this is not enough. The Government in BC needs to realize that a lengthy application process, and support only coming if you have certain disabilities is not enough. What is needed is a drastic change in this amount so that residents living with disabilities are able to continue living with ease, rather than some residents with disabilities barely being able to support themselves due to the costs of care. We need to come together and support all of our residents here in British Columbia. Signing this petition will bring awareness to the BC Government that we as citizens are demanding a higher increase for the disability wage
