It's is imperative that LBUSD update our buildings and put air conditioning in all of our classrooms. Temperatures have been consistently been rising, and hot weather is lasting well into autumn, in Southern California. Our children can't be expected to concentrate in conditions like this. Our buildings are so outdated, that the electrical systems can't take the draw of window units that parents would be willing donate. On a day like today at inland LBUSD schools the temperature is reading 102°. If we leave our dog in our vehicle at 72° it is illegal and forcing our children to try to learn in these conditions is unacceptable. It's time for parents to take a stand and demand that LBUSD use our tax dollars where they are needed.
