In our own country, we have many much civilised laws. One of them is called the Prevention of Animal Cruelty Act. It came into force almost fifty years ago, in 1960. But it is one thing to have civilised laws, and quite another to have civilised people. One of the purposes of having laws is to civilise uncivilised people. Unfortunately, when uncivilised people ignore laws and the law-enforcing agencies look the other way, the laws become only so much print on paper. just imagine you were one of those animals being tested on, imagine your skin being torn of alive, imagine your legs and arms being ripped of while still alive, imagine being burnt alive, imagine losing your life so you can satisfy other species. dosen't sound fun does it? Animal cruelty is a act of violence against animals. they live and breathe like us, they have hearts and feelings like us, so what makes us better than them nothing animals do not deserve the pain they suffer at the hands of humans. it needs put a stop to and the only way to do it is for the law to change and for the courts to have the power to give out harsher punishments. then it might just end.
