On the 19th of November, a female monkey that had entered the hostel room in Christian Medical College, was brutally abused by four medical students belonging to the same college, Jasper Samuel Sahoo, Rohit Kumar Yenukotti, Arun Loui Sashi Kumar and Alex Chekalayil. 

Her hands were tied and she was repeatedly beaten with sticks and belts. Her leg was broken and finally she was killed by inserting a rod up her anal canal. The corpse was buried behind the hostel mess. 

Animal rights activists Shravan Krishnan, Dinesh Babu, Nishanth Nichu and Antony Rubin filed a FIR against these students and the case was registered against the accused. 

However, they should be rusticated from their college as they are unfit to practice in the field of medicine. Under no circumstances must a person, who cannot value lives, be given a licence to treat and heal them.
