Thanks to everyone who has supported this petition to the Christchurch City Council. The result is that the Christchurch City Council has unanimously agreed to reconsider how it manages traffic from the Christchurch Northern Corridor.

They have agreed to proceed with stage 1A and 1B (will post details) of the Downstream Effect Management Plan recommendations along with Traffic Demand Management (TDM) in the form of High Occupancy Vehicle Lanes and Express Bus services. These TDM's require other parties such as ECan, NZTA, and Waimakariri District council to do their part, but we have seen the progress made on this so far.
